In a state-of-the-art facility, SQS is equipped with modern testing equipment necessary to perform the above-mentioned tests on all horticultural, agricultural and agronomic crops. The team consists of fully qualified, experienced and technically skilled seed analysts. Continued training and participation in proficiency tests ensure that the team stays up to date with the latest trends, skills and technology in the seed testing industry.
As an ISTA-accredited laboratory, all analyses performed are based on the principles of accuracy and reproducibility prescribed by the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) rules.

Laboratory established as part of Klein Karoo Seed Production.
2012
Name changed to SEED QUALITY SERVICES and operating as an independent entity.
2020
29 April 2020 - Receives International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) Accreditation (ZAML0600) becoming one of only 4 ISTA accredited Laboratories in South Africa.
2023
9 March 2023 Seed Quality Services became the laboratory with the widest scope of ISTA accreditation in South Africa. A responsibility that we carry with pride.
2024
Hosted the first ISTA International Workshop in South Africa: Quality Assurance – Advanced.
